One last time, at least until my schedule opens up a bit, we return to 1985 for 2 more episode of The Transformers. This time out, Megatron takes control of a super-computer, and uses it to take control of all sorts of machines, including oil tankers (remember Superman III?). Then, the Decepticons steel a robotic ninja and sends it to take on the Autobots, while also reappropriating more Star Wars sound effects in the process.
Once again we delve back into 1985 for some more Transformers goodness. In “Autobot Run”, the Decepticons create a ray that locks the Autobots into vehicle mode. In “Atlantis, Arise!” the Decepticons discover the lost city of Atlantis, and team up with the Atlantians to invade Washington DC!
This time out, we have feedback! Plus, we watch 2 more episode of The Transformers! In “City of Steel,” the Decepticons turn New York City into New Cybertron. In “Attack of the Autobots,” Megatron sabotages Teletraan-1 so that the Autobots are turned into Decepticons.
Join me as we travel back to 1985 and begin our look as Season 2 of The Transformers. In “Autobot Spike,” Spike is injured and has his brain put into a robotic body created by Sparkplug. In “Changing Gears,” Megatron’s plans require the use of Gears’ personality chip, turning Gears into a nice Autobot.
As we wrap up our look at the first season of The Transformers, we are introduced to 2 new Decepticon teams. Believe it or not, in “Plague of the Insecticons,” we are introduced to the Insecticons. And in “Heavy Metal War,” the Constructicons make their debut, as well as the first Transformers Combiner, Devastator.
It’s back to a normal length episode this week as pick up from the end of last week’s episode for a “Countdown to Extinction,” then we go back to watch a skipped episode introducing 2 more Dinobots in “War of the Dinobots.”
In this special, extra-length, episode, we are watching the 3-part “The Ultimate Doom!” Megatron plans to bring Cybertron into Earth’s orbit in order to collect the energy generated by all of the natural disasters. Meanwhile, he also utilizes Dr. Arkeville’s Hypno-Chip to create human slaves, including Spike’s dad, Sparkplug!
Today, on The Transformers: The Autobots learn about dinosaurs, and decide it would be a good idea to build their own in “S.O.S. Dinobots.” Also, remember when I said Skyfire would not return in Season 1? Well, it turns out he returns in the 2nd episode when Megatron creates a super powerful cannon, and the Autobots must stop him in “Fire on the Mountain.”
Return to 1984 for 2 more episodes of the classic Transformers series! In “Divide & Conquer,” Optimus Prime is badly damaged, and the Autobots have to go back to Cybertron to retrieve the part he needs before he goes offline. In “Fire in the Sky,” the Decepticons unearth a long lost Transformer, who has to decided which side he wants to be on.
